Love finding new recipes, but never find the time to transfer the info onto a recipe card? Do you end up with recipes torn out of magazines lying around and unorganized? Buy a three ring binder, page protectors, and a pocket folder. Take all of those recipes torn out of magazines and place them in the pocket folder. As you try the recipes, place the ones you like in the page protectors. Tada! - you have created your own custom cookbook!

Another tip - If you have odds and ends in your pantry but no recipe for them, use the ingredient search on www.allrecipes.com to come up with a quick meal that will save you a trip to the store and use some of those unused items in your pantry.

We all seem to carry water bottles now. If you don't finish yours before getting out of the car or if you find a random, half-full bottle of water under your car seat, use the water to water some plants on your way into your home. Then you don't have to feel guilty because you didn't waste the water.
